LONDON … Power management company Eaton is highlighting the company’s growing duct and tube repair business during MRO Europe, being held October 3-5 at the ExCeL convention center in London. The full-service repair offering provides airlines and MRO’s an alternative to purchasing new ducting and tubing when parts are damaged, providing approximately 50 percent or more in cost reductions.
“Every large commercial aircraft has thousands of ducts and tubes that can be damaged during normal use and maintenance activities,” said Mark Schmidt, vice president, Aftermarket Business, Eaton’s Aerospace Group. “Our customers are increasingly demanding repair solutions, rather than replacement products, and the Eaton team is delivering with full-service, cost-effective and timely repair services on all duct and tube products – even those manufactured by our competitors.”
Eaton’s duct and tube repair business is building additional capability to do more complex repairs than previously available in the market. Customers can send the damaged duct or tube, and in 15 days or less, the service will evaluate, repair and test ducts and tubes from any manufacturer. If the repair is too complex for the 15-day window, Eaton’s exchange program will provide a spare or already repaired part to avoid additional customer downtime.
The expanded duct and tube repair service is part of Eaton’s dedication to providing tailored solutions to help meet customers’ needs. By helping airlines cut costs – one repair can save as much as $50,000 compared to replacing the damaged part – Eaton is helping customers grow their businesses, without sacrificing reliability or safety.
